Last weekend found Tatty Bits back at one of its favourite haunts for a two day vintage jamboree!
The North London Vintage Market is a firm favourite for North London retronauts, hosted once a month in St Mary’s Church Hall, Crouch End. It’s a two day event with a lovely village feel
The fair attracts some of the best vintage traders from London and beyond and has been recently taken over by Gill from Bull in a China Shop, an NLV regular. We were delighted to be at the fair selling vintage china, books, homeware, sewing and knitting items and even the odd bit of furniture.
As well as a wide range of stalls selling vintage toys, clothes, jewellery, furniture and kitchenalia, there were also delicious baked goods on sale provided by the lovely ladies from Fork and Dram.
The sun shone brightly for both days and stall holder Mick’s dog Ripple was more than happy to greet shoppers at the door on arrival!
As an extra treat vintage treasure hunters were serenaded by the dulcet tones of Harry on the saxophone. Harry had run out of puff by Sunday so we used a vintage record player until it was sold!
It was a fantastic weekend and it was lovely to see lots of familiar faces and make some new friends too.
We can’t wait for the next event which takes place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of May. Follow @nlvintagemarket for updates and hope to see you there!
